Why would my pet need an ultrasound or X-ray?

Veterinarians typically request these scans when they are in the process of diagnosing your pet. The images are used for a closer look, so to speak. X-rays and ultrasounds offer images of a patient’s bones, intestines, stomach, lungs, heart and other body parts. They help doctors detect root causes of a pet’s condition, among several other factors that can be affecting their health.

How soon can I get results from my pet’s scans?

Here at Leaside, we use digital scans. Unlike traditional imaging done on film, this technology means we can analyze results on the same day. This leads to quicker diagnosis and treatment, as well as less radiation exposure for our patients and registered veterinary technicians.
